We promised you a year long examination of water and water related issues, so The Garden Club of the Back Bay encourages those of you interested in these matters to attend Richard Hornbeck’s and Pinar Keskin’s lecture Farming the Ogallala Aquifer on Wednesday, November 17, from 4:10 – 5:30 at the Harvard Kennedy School in Room L-382, 79 John F. Kennedy Street in Cambridge. Richard Hornbeck is Assistant Professor of Economics in the Harvard Economics Department, focused on Economic History and Development. Pinar Keskin is a Giorgio Ruffolo Post-doctoral Fellow in the Sustainability Science Program at Harvard’s Center for International Development, and is on the faculty at Wesleyan University.
