In Newport, Rhode Island, the Bellevue Avenue History Trail,  11 markers that detail the breadth, diversity and preservation of one of America’s legendary streets, has recently been completed. Visitors walking along Bellevue Avenue from Memorial Avenue to Rough Point can read about the architecture, landscapes and social history of current buildings and even those that no longer exist.
