Francine Crawford, with other technologically inclined members, began Boston Flora in 2008 as the official website of the Garden Club of the Back Bay. As part of the Club’s educational mission, we publicized events of interest in horticultural, environmental, and culinary arts, along with trips, classes and lectures, live and virtual. At first the geographic focus was Boston based, then regional, and, since the pandemic opened the doors to an increased number of online offerings, national and international. Boston Flora is now an independent site, but maintained advertisement-free as a public service.
