Ana Sortun, award winning chef of Oleana Restaurant and author of the terrific cookbook Spice, and Mel King, Boston community organizer and advocate for urban youth,  host CitySprouts’ 10th Anniversary Gala on Thursday, March 10, from 6 – 10 pm at the Hotel Marlowe in East Cambridge, Massachusetts.  CitySprouts introduces school gardens as a core element of children’s public school education. March 6 – March 13 – Philadelphia International Flower Show

The 2011 Philadelphia International Flower Show, March 6 – 13 at The Convention Center in Philadelphia, will transport visitors to the beautiful City of Light – the capital of art, fashion, food, and love. A blooming “Springtime in Paris” will greet guests with a bucolic park scene along the Seine. Flowering trees, lilacs, roses and borders of lavender will lead visitors through gardens inspired by the Tuileries. In the distance, a daring Moulin Rouge atmosphere will pulse with cabaret performances, spectacular flower sculptures and carousel topiaries.
