Saturday, February 26, 9:00 am – 12:00 noon – Pruning in Winter

Jen Kettell, an ISA-certified arborist and accredited Organic Land Care Professional, will explain the reasons for pruning and what to consider when pruning dormant trees, shrubs, and vines. She will demonstrate techniques, give guidelines for determining which plants benefit from winter pruning, and explain how plants heal from pruning wounds. The class will take place Saturday, February 26, from 9 – 12 noon at the Arnold Arboretum, 125 Arborway, Boston, MA, and the cost is $30 for Arboretum members, $35 for nonmembers.
