Thursday, July 12, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm – Clematis: The Queen of the Climbers


Clematis is the ‘Queen of the Climbing Vines’ and includes a collection of some 300 species and a thousand cultivars. Clematis is ideally suited to our New England climate and some cultivars bloom continuously for up to 16 weeks. As part of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s series “Thursdays at the Hort”, Cheryl Monroe will speak on Thursday, July 12 on this beautiful plant family.  Cheryl Monroe is a Master Gardener who has 50 Clematis on her property and maintains an on line blog – The Garden in the Burrow.  Presentations will begin at 7pm and go until all questions are answered.The classes are priced at $12 for Mass Hort members and $15 for non-members – no need to pre-register.
