Happy Fourth of July from The Garden Club of the Back Bay

Hundreds of thousands of visitors will throng our streets today and tonight celebrating the Glorious Fourth.  If you are one of them, please take a moment to enjoy (and respect!) our beautiful trees and green spaces, lovingly cared for by The Garden Club of the Back Bay, along with the Parks Department of the City of Boston, The Friends of the Public Garden, The Commonwealth Avenue Mall Committee, The Friends of Copley Square, The Esplanade Association, and a host of other not for profit groups, agencies, and residents.

Sunday, July 14, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm – Provincetown Art Association & Museum 16th Annual Secret Garden Tour

Gardening enthusiasts will enjoy this double header garden experience on Cape Cod on Sunday, July 14, from 10 – 3. The day begins with a self-guided walking tour of gorgeous secret gardens in Provincetown’s central east end—through hidden stone paths and crooked wooden walkways into borders and beds of specimen plants, common and exotic flowers, and lush greenery. The owners and tenders of fragrant and visually stunning Provincetown gardens plan to welcome many new and return visitors. Ticket-holders will receive a map and booklet with stories and details about each garden.

Visitors are then invited to The Provincetown Art Association and Museum (PAAM) at 460 Commercial Street to tour the Art of the Garden exhibition in air-conditioned galleries. All proceeds from the event benefit PAAM exhibitions and educational programs.

Tickets $30: Online (www.paam.org), by phone (508-487-1750), or at the Museum (open daily at 11am).
