The Commonwealth Avenue Mall Committee needs volunteers to water new and recently planted trees on the Mall, especially in the blocks Exeter-Fairfield, Gloucester-Hereford, and Hereford-Massachusetts Avenue. This would involve a once-a-week commitment of about ½ hour through September or October. (Back-up is available for vacations, etc.) Lightweight hoses are accessible from vaults in every block and instruction is provided. The trees and lots of passersby will thank you!
