The Trustees of Reservations and the Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts are excited to present a series of Garden Mixology Classes this summer. Attendees will learn how to craft 3 unique cocktails using local spirits while enjoying appetizers from local caterers and restaurants, all while in a unique urban garden setting.

Join them on Thursday, August 4 in Northampton Street Community Garden in the South End for the third class. Privateer is our featured rum distiller and delicious Filipino cuisine will be provided by Pamangan.

Wednesday, August 10, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm – Avant Gardens & Tranquil Lake Nursery

Travel on Wednesday, August 10 with Tower Hill Botanic Garden to two of Southeastern Massachusetts’ best nurseries during the peak of summer. Tranquil Lake Nursery is a farm growing and specializing in ornamental perennials. Enjoy a tour of two acres of display gardens with co-owner and award-winning landscape designer Warren Leach. We’ll travel to Westport River Wineries for a picnic lunch followed by a tour and tastings. Our last stop is to the renowned Avant Gardens, for a tour with co-owner and award-winning garden designer Katherine Tracey. There will be time for browsing and shopping at both nurseries. Bus will leave Tower Hill at 8 am and return by 6 pm. Tower Hill members $100, nonmembers $125, includes transportation, tours, and box lunch.
