The Garden Club of the Back Bay has been contacted by a nonprofit organization called Building Impact that facilitates volunteer opportunities for companies in the Boston area.  Its mission is to connect and strengthen our community.  In January they are holding a volunteer activity to make Valentine’s Day cards for the organization Ethos, that works with isolated elders in the Boston area.  These cards will be given out during in-home meal deliveries.

The Valentine cards will be made by cutting out flower pictures from seed and plant catalogs and if you have any such color catalogs in your possession that you are willing to donate, please email Sara Sargent at sara@buildingimpact.org as soon as possible.  She is willing to arrange pickup in the Boston area, or can provide delivery information.  You may also call 860-910-8642.
