Sunday, June 25, 11:00 am – 4:00 pm – Big Gardens, Small Spaces

The Somerville Garden Club 2017 Garden Tour, Big Gardens, Small Spaces, showcases the creativity and variety of compact gardens. 21 gardens will be open to ticket holders. Walk through gardens of different styles, featuring shady perennials, colorful sun-loving flowers, statuary, vegetable plots, ponds, bee hives, unusual shrubs and trees, native plants and interesting hardscaping surrounding Somerville Garden Club member homes, and our three public garden sites. Gardeners will be welcoming visitors to their yards and will be available to answer questions. This is a rare chance to learn about plants, design, and horticulture from this wonderful array of passionate SGC members. Prepare to be inspired and educated, and don’t be surprised if you come away eager to work on your own urban landscape. Come for fun, leave with inspiration! Gardens provide pleasure for our gardeners, our neighbors, and in many cases, a haven for native plants, birds, and local wildlife. Proceeds from the 2017 Garden Tour support the educational programs and public plantings of the Somerville Garden Club.
Advance tickets go on sale June 2nd and will also be available online at http://www.somervillegardenclub.org/ The self-guided tour will be held Sunday, June 25 from 11 – 4, rain or shine, and tickets are $18.
