Judith Tankard is a landscape historian, author, preservation consultant, and member of the Garden Club of the Back Bay. She received an M.A. in art history from the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU and taught at the Landscape Institute for over 20 years. Ms. Tankard has authored or co-authored ten books on landscape history, including her latest book Ellen Shipman and the American Garden. There will be copies available for purchase and signing at The Garden Club of the Back Bay’s February 7 meeting, beginning at 10 am at The College Club, 44 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston.
