Mondays, February 1 – February 22, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm – Dutch Tulips in Colored Pencil, Online

Learn how to recreate the stunning tulips painted by Dutch artist Jacob Merrell, 1614-1681. Working with colored pencils, you will be guided by botanical artist Carol Ann Morley, step-by-step from sketch to finished tulips. This four-part Berkshire Botanical Garden class will include live instructional time and class critique and will  focus on observing the underlying form of colored subjects, beginning with tonal graphite studies; how to select the right colors to create a colored palette and techniques for layering colored pencils to achieve the glowing colors of Dutch tulips. Once registered, attendees will be provided with a photograph of the Dutch tulips along with a materials list. $125 for BBG members, $150 for nonmembers. Register at https://www.berkshirebotanical.org/events/dutch-tulips-colored-pencil
