In 1898 Ebenezer Howard wrote the book Garden Cities of Tomorrow – a bold vision of a new kind of living incorporating the best elements of Town and City Living.

In 1903 it was time to put these ideas into practice and Barry Parker and Raymond Unwin began designing Letchworth Garden City according to Howard’s ideals.

On this hour long virtual tour on November 22 beginning at 3 Eastern Time using Zoom, you will see pictures of some wonderful examples of early twentieth century domestic architecture as well as some of the industrial buildings including the Spirella building which made corsets and parachutes.
