In many condominium and cooperative buildings, decorations are welcome but a “Christmas” look may be inappropriate. Metallics are a beautiful way to skirt the issue. The Garden Club has used gold, silver, copper, bronze, and mixed metals to create elegant but non-specific winter wreaths. A past president made a wreath for her multi-unit building this year, using a recycled bow and saved materials. At the end of the season, please don’t toss the wreath in the trash – take a few minutes to pack up the elements that can be re-used into a small shopping bag. It won’t take up much room, and you’ll be happy to have the materials. We hope we don’t have to continue postponing our Wreath Sale, but nowadays we take nothing for granted.
