Designed for beginners and experienced gardeners, this Massachusetts Horticultural Society course is designed to cover the basics of plant knowledge and care in New England and provides students with the knowledge to solve many of the problems commonly faced in keeping plants healthy. Topics include soils and soil amendments; plant physiology and identification methods; planting, pruning, propagation and operation techniques; plant selection and planning guidelines; pest and disease control. The course also includes an introduction to taxonomy. This course meets virtually for 10 weeks, Thursdays at 6:30pm. $260 Mass Hort members, $320 General Public. Register at www.masshort.org
