Sunday, February 15, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm – Opening Reception – Tracy Levesque

Now on display at Massachusetts Audubon Society’s Habitat at 10 Juniper Road in Belmont, Massachusetts: chromatic acrylic paintings by Tracy Levesque (@birchlady) Tracy Levesque’s chromatic acrylic paintings blur the line between fine art and illustration. Reminiscent of stained glass, each painting is constructed of translucent layers of paint, three dimensionally sculpted and carved palette knife texture and delicate fine line brush detail. Levesque’s stunning visual style creates a dramatic interplay between fantasy and bold realism inviting viewers to engage with the intricacies of the natural world and the profoundly spiritual nature of landscape.

Tracy Levesque is a New England based fine artist who was born in the beautiful Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts and is currently working out of her studio at Western Avenue Studios in the Merrimack Valley in Lowell, Massachusetts. Levesque graduated from Brandeis University with honors in Theater Arts and English and American Literature. She is an award winning artist that has been exhibiting her work nationally for over 30 years and has work in many private and corporate collections across the globe.

Levesque’s vibrant works are love songs to nature and an invitation to the viewer to take a thoughtful journey into how we perceive our surroundings. Come out to a reception on February 14 to meet the artist while you enjoy the gallery!
