The Garden Conservancy, as part of its 2021 Open Days program, will feature the Goguen-Conzett garden in West Falmouth on June 26, between 10 – 4. An 1840s farmhouse and barn provide a backdrop for what was long ago a grazing field for livestock. Over the past 25 years, the owners have worked to transform most of an acre of open landscape into a garden containing a wide variety of trees, shrubs, and perennials. Island beds and borders are arranged to preserve open sight lines. Deciduous trees include katsura and a well-established Metasequoia, as well as a variety of Japanese maples. There is a thriving bed of succulents, an ever-expanding vegetable garden, and a sunken garden featuring an evolving collection of evergreens.
