    “Pearls of Newport” is the perfect theme for the 30th anniversary Newport Flower Show, taking place June 19–21, 2026, at Rosecliff. This milestone event will feature exquisite floral exhibits inspired by the rare beauty and hidden treasures of the City-by-the-Sea. Just as pearls symbolize elegance and sophistication, the show will spotlight stunning floral designs, botanical arts and horticulture displays that reflect Newport’s rich heritage and refined charm. The theme will also connect naturally to the city’s coastal identity and maritime history.

    In a graceful nod to the Gilded Age, when fashionable Newport women often wore pearls as a symbol of refinement and status, the show will blend historic elegance with modern creativity.

    Wright-Locke Farm’s seedlings are stretching up closer to the sun every day in our greenhouse. They’re getting ready for you to take home and plant in your garden! This year, the Spring Market will be a seedling sale and Art Fair featuring the work of local artisans. You can stop by and grab some plants or flowers for Mom, and browse amazing crafts and artwork as well! Hours are 9 – 2 on Saturday, May 9 and 10 – 1 on Sunday, Mother’s Day.   • Friday, April 24 – Sunday, April 26 – Fiber Witch Festival: Song of the Sea

    Come to the Salem Fiber Witch Festival hosted by practicing witches in historic downtown Salem, Massachusetts, aka the Witch City.

    The main event is the Fiber Witch Market. Our Fiber Witch Market is hosted at Old Town Hall, which you may recognize from the beloved 90s movie, Hocus Pocus, and features indie yarn, farm yarn, arts, and handmade goods with a witchy vibe.

    The festival also includes exclusive tours around Salem, an exclusive party at the Hotel Salem, workshops, and more!

    The Fifth Annual Sakonnet Plant Fair will take place on Saturday, May 2, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm at 3 Meeting House Lane in Little Compton, Rhode Island. This event is a benefit for the Little Compton Village Improvement Society, and over 35 vendors and specialty growers are expected to attend. There will be coffee, music, food, book signings, and the opportunity to purchase annuals, perennials, herbs, native plants, vegetables, trees, bulbs, and tropicals.     Orchids & Animals
    Orchid species from the animals’ native regions will be displayed alongside their habitats—highlighting the role of biodiversity in healthy ecosystems. Look for Asian orchids near Jye the clouded leopard, African species near lemurs, pygmy hippos, and gorillas, and Central American orchids alongside the tapir, giant anteater, and cotton-top tamarins.
