    If you are near Stockbridge on Monday, July 7, July 14, July 21, or July 28, plan to take an audio tour of the eight acres of gardens at historic Naumkeag, presented by the Trustees of Reservations.   • Thursday, June 12 – Mass Hort Honorary Medals Gala

    Meet and honor Julie Messervy, the designer of Weezie’s Garden, the innovative and popular children’s garden at the MHS Horticulture Center. Ms. Messervy is a regular contributor to Fine Gardening magazine and her books include Outside the Not So Big House, co-authored by Sarah Susanka, 2006. Also honored will be Robert L. Johnston, founder of Johnny’s Selected Seeds, Dr. Michael A. Dirr, The Huntington Family, Deborah Howard, and Les Mehrhoff. Proceeds from the event will fund horticultural education internships.   • Sunday, June 29 – Lost Gardens of New England & Cape Cod

    Heritage Museums & Gardens, 67 Grove Street, Sandwich, Massachusetts, 10 am – 4 pm daily through October 31. This exhibition features reproduction drawings, watercolors, and photographs of New England gardens from Historic New England’s archives, supplemented by garden ornaments from Lyman and Codman Estates, and Hamilton House. Heritage Museums & Gardens has added items from their collection for a section about the lost gardens of Cape Cod. Admission $12 adults, $10 seniors, $6 youth, and free to children under 3.   • Tuesday, June 10, 4:30 pm – Dock Party & Ribbon Cutting

    The Esplanade Association, Community Boating Inc., Union Boat Club, and the Department of Conservation and Recreation invite you to join DCR Commissioner Richard K. Sullivan to celebrate the restoration of the Boat Haven on the Esplanade. Ribbon cutting at 4:30. Enjoy food, sailing, and rowing at Community Boating from 5 to sunset.
