    Art in the Garden is a new Lexington Field & Garden Club fundraiser, to be held Sunday, September 10, from 3 – 5 (Rain date September 24). Enjoy an afternoon in a gorgeous landscaped private Lexington garden, surrounded by beautiful artwork by five local artists, all for sale. Bid on goods and services at the silent auction, enjoy tasty refreshments, and meet art lovers of all ages. Funds raised will be used for new plantings at Emery Park, one of the town’s most used and visible spaces. At the home of: Christina & George Gamota, 17 Solomon Pierce Rd., Lexington.   • Friday, November 4, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Art Afield

    Fruitlands Museum invites you to join them Friday, November 4, from 6 – 8 for a sale of landscape paintings by 2011 Artist-in-Residence Jill Pottle, as well as original art that has been donated to Fruitlands.  All proceeds benefit the museum and its programs.  Enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvre, beer and wine at this free event.     A garden tour with artistic flair! Stroll through nine gorgeous gardens (six are seaside gardens) and watch as well-known artists render the beautiful scenes in various media. The paintings will be for sale. The gardens are located in and around the charming coastal town of Blue Hill, Maine.
