    The Cohasset Garden Club presents Books in Bloom, a unique event in which Cohasset Garden Club members assemble floral arrangements that interpret a book’s title, jacket, or theme. Free admission, along with a free floral arranging demonstration on Thursday, June 20 at 1 pm. The three day event takes place June 20, June 21, and June 22 at the Paul Pratt Memorial Library in Cohasset. Due to limited space, pre-registration for the floral arranging demo is necessary – visit http://cohassetlibrary.org to do so.

    Join the Framingham Garden Club and The Framingham Public Library for Books in Bloom, floral interpretations of favorite books from 90 years ago. Books include Gone with the Wind, Madeline, How To Win Friends and Influence People, the Hobbit, As I Lay Dying, and The Joy of Cooking and their interpretive floral designs of these books. The Framingham Garden Club is celebrating its 90th anniversary. The presentation and free reception will take place September 27 at 7 pm in the Costin Room, Framingham Public Library Main Branch, 49 Lexington Street. View the exhibit Thursday the 28th from 9 – 9, and on Friday and Saturday the 29th and 30th, 9 – 5. This four-day public event, in partnership with the Framingham Public Library, is part of othe Club’s “give back to our community” goal for FGC’s 90th Anniversary celebrations, and is one of four community events offered by FGC in 2023.

  • Saturday, April 7, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm – Books in Bloom

    Y’ise Gardeners of Marshfield and Ventress Memorial Library announce the 11th annual Books in Bloom event, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, at the library, Route 139, Marshfield.  Designers from Y’ise Gardeners and library staff will interpret their favorite books in flowers, and people can vote for a favorite. A classical musician will perform, and light refreshments will be served. There will also be a raffle and used book sale in the main library of gardening books for $1 each. Y’ise Gardeners will also sell spring floral centerpieces and hostess gifts for Easter.  This is a free event sponsored by Y’ise Gardeners and Ventress Memorial Library.
