    Climate Beacon, the region’s premier global climate change gathering, is back from October 16-18 at the UMass Club and the Boston Society of Architects.     On October 17, GBH President and CEO Susan Goldberg will host Boston Mayor Michelle Wu and other phenomenal municipal leaders to dive into the decisions that are being made to try to keep our cities at the forefront of scaling climate change solutions while also ensuring healthier, safer, and more equitable communities for everyone.   • Tuesday, March 22, 1:00 pm – 4th Annual Massachusetts Water Forum: Water on My Mind

    The 4th Annual Massachusetts Water Forum, hosted by the Foundation for a Green Future, Inc. in honor of World Water Day, will rethink water management as the Commonwealth prepares for a changing climate.

    The Charles River Watershed Association (CRWA) will present a game-changing plan to transform the way we manage water in our urban and suburban spaces. The forum will encourage all participants to pose questions, add their insights, and think about new designs, systems and resource uses.

    Participants may join us for one or more segment of this program on Tuesday, March 22 at the BSA Space, 290 Congress Street, Boston. The 4th Annual Massachusetts Water Forum is brought to you thanks to our partners:

    The National Trust for Historic Preservation invites the public to a free event – Boston Modern: The Spirit of Reinvention -  on Wednesday, June 30, beginning at 6:30 pm, celebrating the history and debating the future of the Boston area’s Modern and recent past architecture.  Join some of the preservation movement’s sharpest thinkers and most outspoken commentators for a provocative evening exploring the critical, and often controversial, issues facing the future of Greater Boston’s 20th century structures and landscapes.  Journalist and author Anthony Flint of the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy will moderate a panel featuring David Fixler, FAIA of EYP and DOCOMOMO-US/New England, Kathy Spiegelman, Chief Planner, Harvard’s Allston Initiative, and others.  After hearing the experts, add your voice to the conversation during the public forum.

    A Special Insiders Tour of The First Church at 6:30 pm will be limited to the first 45 registrants.  The reception and program will begin at 7 pm.  RSVP to my.PreservationNation.org/BostonModern.

Patti has created a true urban farm in the middle of Roxbury with extensive gardens and several kinds of livestock.
