    The Boston Parks & Recreation Department invites you to get your groove on at its 4th Annual Roller Disco Party honoring five-time Grammy winner and Boston native Donna Summer.  The event will take place on Friday, June 23 beginning at 6 on City Hall Plaza, 1 City Hall Square in Boston.  The vent will feature a performance by Mary Gaines Bernard, music provided by New Engld’s finest dj Roy Barboza, and appearances by O’Mega Red and members of Donna Summers’ family.  If you don’t have your own skates, the City of Boston will be providing free rentals on a firs-come, first-serva basis.  For more information email tourism@boston.gov, or call 617-635-3911.  Free.

    Boston GreenFest celebrates many ways we can create a better world by greening our lives and our communities.  This year’s free event at City Hall Plaza on August 15 – 17 will include music, dance, ecoArt, hands-on learning, a wine and beer garden, green tech, eco-fashion, and more.   • Wednesday, July 15, 11 – 3 – 8th Annual Arts on the Arcade Kickoff

    For the 8th year, Arts on the Arcade will provide summer entertainment at the community arcade from July 8th to August 26th, adjacent to Cambridge Street and City Hall Plaza on Wednesdays from 11am – 3pm.

    A three-tiered approach gives the public a rich vibrant market experience through (1) local Visual Artists exhibiting and selling their original works of art. People will have the opportunity to peruse the booths of local artists and to interact with the various artists who have created the artwork on display. (2)The Farmers Market selling their own produce. Vendors will be selling everything from flowers, bread, cheese and vegetables.(3)Local Performers providing a summer beat though a diverse program of entertainment. After visiting vendors, people can sit down and absorb performances by local performance artists.
