This one-day event on Wednesday, August 11, from 9:30 – 4:30, hosted by the Great Cranberry Island Historical Society, will include eight stops across this two-mile island. It will feature visits to two nineteenth century sea captain homes, a garden recognized by the Smithsonian, a visit to the Heliker-LaHotan Foundation artist residency program, musical events throughout the day in a church built in the 1860’s, an art show, and access to a mile-long hiking trail leading to the back shore of the island with panoramic views of Acadia.
