  • Saturday, April 13. 10:00 am – 1:00 pm – Decoupage Workshop

    In this hands-on Berkshire Botanical Garden workshop on Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., taught by Marsha Edell, participants will learn the steps for creating four unique, waterproof, botanical-themed, ceramic tile coasters. The focus will be on creating four-by-four-inch, cork-backed coasters which will be completed and ready to take home at the end of the class. Supplies will be provided but feel free to bring in any decorative papers: garden-themed or abstract. Bring your own fabric, which can be treated and used on the coasters in the workshop.

    Marsha Edell is a licensed clinical social worker and a long time craftsperson. She is a firm believer in the power of creativity for tapping into a sense of well-being and stress reduction.   • Saturday and Sunday, January 22, 23, 29 and 30, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm – Decoupage Intensive Weekend Workshop

    Create decoupage floral masterpieces in this four session Decoupage Course taught by Jennifer Sherr at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education, 42 Brattle Street in Cambridge, over two weekends – January 22 and 23, and January 29 and 30, from 10 – 1 each day. This workshop is for beginners and intermediate-level students alike. More experienced students can work independently on projects, receiving guidance and support while building on skills and creativity. Beginners will learn the basic techniques of using contemporary decoupage to change a home decor piece into something new, customizing it to reflect your own personality. You will also learn the skills to combine faux painting with decoupage techniques. In the first session we will discuss basic decoupage techniques. Beginners and �students with prior experience� should bring pre-selected items to the first session. Please bring the following to the first class: some pre-cut images that you like and some of your favorite magazines, greeting cards or photographs. A supply list will be mailed to registrants.
