    The much-awaited Annual Long Hill Plant Sale, to be held Saturday, May 21 from 10 – 2 at The Trustees of Reservation’s Long Hill property in Beverly, Massachusetts,  offers a great selection of unusual plants and old favorites including Tulip tree, Japanese Snowbell (below), Dove Tree, Japanese Maple, and more! Sale includes a silent auction, hundreds of perennials including many native, and a connoisseur’s corner. Enjoy a stroll through the Sedgwick Gardens which will be in peak bloom.     Dawn redwood, dove tree, and franklinia are just a handful of the trees growing at the Arboretum with engaging stories of how they secured a place in gardens and in the history of plant exploration. If our trees could talk, they might share accounts of faraway forests, botanical adventures, and intrepid plant explorers. Join Collections and Grounds Manager Tom Clark on a walking tour of the Arboretum where he will reveal some of the fascinating stories behind these and other beloved plants.$5/free to PHA members. 508-693-9426
