Lisa Oberholzer-Gee is a Cambridge based freelance floral artist. She has traveled widely and incorporates techniques from all over the world in her designs. She has a floral certificate of design from Longwood Garden, Pennsylvania and has taught floral classes at the New York Botanical Gardens as well as designed entrance arrangements for the MFA’s Art in Bloom exhibit. She will be demonstrating arrangements for the holiday season. Ms. Gee will give a demonstration on Holiday Floral Design for the Community Garden Club of Duxbury on December 11 at the Duxbury Bay Maritime School, 457 Washington Street, Duxbury, Massachusetts. Coffee and tea from 9am to 9:30am, Business Meeting from 9:30am to 10am, Program from 10am to 11:30am. Meetings are open to the public for a nominal fee of $5.00. Everyone is welcome.

Tuesday, June 14 (rain date Wednesday, June 15), 9:30 am – 2:00 pm – Community Garden Club of Duxbury Garden Tour and Picnic
The Community Garden Club of Duxbury GARDEN TOUR & PICNIC will serve as their final season “meeting.” They have six fantastic, diverse gardens all around town (one of which was featured in the March 2016 issue of House and Garden.) There will be a delicious “brown bag” style lunch served at one of the gardens along with a surprise party favor. Member tickets are $20 for tour and lunch, non-members are $32. Tickets can be purchased by mailing a check to CGCD, P. O. Box 1713, Duxbury, MA 02331, or online (with a slight fee) via the button on the “2016 DUXBURY Garden Tour” tab at http://www.communitygardenclubofduxbury.org/. Ticket deadline June 9. Everyone will start that morning by driving through Duxbury Bay Maritime School’s driveway, 457 Washington St, Duxbury, Massachusetts. Community Garden Club of Duxbury members will come to your car window, check the paid list, and give you your program with the garden addresses.

Deb Trickett is a Massachusetts Certified Horticulturist and a Massachusetts Certified Landscape professional. We have come to know and love her as the amazingly talented designer of container gardens. Deb’s presentations are informative, funny, interactive and filled with great ideas for making our containers at home look so much more beautiful. The Duxbury Garden Club will sponsor a program on Tuesday, May 13 beginning at 9 am at the Duxbury Bay Maritime School. 457 Washington Street in Duxbury, and the fee to attend is $5. Priscilla Styer, Blue Ribbon and Special Award winner at the Boston Flower Show 2012, and owner of “Just for You” will guide you through a fabulous floral design program, highlighting form function and color in floral design. She will create 7 or 8 arrangements to be raffled. The program is sponsored by the Community Garden Club of Duxbury and will be held at the Duxbury Bay Maritime School, 435 Washington Street in Duxbury. CGCD members free, public $5.
