    The New England Wild Flower Society’s Plant Form and Function Course provides an introduction to botany basics, including fascinating plant anatomy and physiology, taught by Dr. Nancy Eyster-Smith.  Students are introduced to the plant kingdom through slides and live materials.  Microscopic study allows for the detailed observation of roots, stems and leaves. and their component tissues.  Examination of flowers, fruits, and seeds reveals the details of pollination, fertilization, dispersal and germination, emphasizing the relationship between plant form and function.  The class will be held Thursdays, September 18 – October 16, from 6:30 – 9 at Bentley University in Waltham.
