  • Saturday, May 12 – Three Plant Sales

    The Easton Garden Club will hold its annual plant sale of garden-dug perennials, annuals, and mother’s day gifts on Saturday, May 12 from 9 – 1 at the Yardley-Wood Skating Rink, 388 Depot Street in South Easton. On the same day, from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm, the Garden Club of Concord will offer over 1,000 plants for sale, including perennials, herbs, annuals, vegetables and houseplants, many from the established gardens of club members, on the lawn of the Middlesex Savings Bank on 64 Main Street in Concord. Finally, for those of you in Dedham, the Fairbanks Garden Club will have its plant sale at Fairbanks House from 9 – noon.  Support these clubs and pick up some treasures.

  • Saturday, May 20 – Garden Club Spring Plant Sales

    On Saturday, May 20, many Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts member clubs will hold plant sales with a full range of horticultural offerings, all to benefit their diverse public projects in their communities.  Please consider supporting these organizations when you are acquiring your spring plants.     The Friendly Garden Club Plant Sale – 9 – 12 at the Beverly Council on Aging, 90 Colon Street in Beverly.

    The Weymouth Garden Club Plant Sale – 9 – 1 at the Department of Public Works, 120 Winter Street in Weymouth.

    The Lexington Field & Garden Club Plant Sale – 7 – noon at the Hadley Public Works Facility, 201 Bedford Street in Lexington.

    The Scituate Garden Club Plant Sale – 9 – 1 at the Mann Farmhouse, 108 Greenfield Lane in Scituate.

    The Springfield Garden Club Annual Plant Sale – 9 – noon at the Springfield Museums at the Quandrangle, 21 Edwards Street in Springfield.

    The Reading Garden Club Annual Geraniums and More Plant Sale – 9 – 1 at the Reading Town Common (across from Town Hall), Rts. 28 & 129.

    The Stoneham Garden Club Plant Sale and Lobster Roll Luncheon – 10 – 2 at the First Congregational Church, Central Street in Stoneham.

    The Fairbanks Garden Club Plant Sale, 9 – noon at the Fairbanks House in Dedham.

    Also, on May 27 from 8 – noon, visit the Osterville Garden Club Annual Plant and Bake Sale at the Osterville Village Library.

     

  • Saturday, May 16 – More Plant Sales

    You may have been busy last weekend, but it’s not too late to patronize local Garden Clubs while acquiring good plants for your summer season.  On Saturday, May 16 The Hull Garden Club will present its Annual Plant Sale offering a wide array of succulents, flowering plants and vegetables from 10 am at 3 George Washington Boulevard in Hull.  The Fairbanks Garden Club will offer annuals, perennials, vegetables, house plants, shrubs and garden art at Fairbanks House in Dedham from 9 – noon.  The Boxford Village Garden Club will have over six hundred plants for sale at 2 Elm Street in East Boxford from 9 – 2, and finally the Garden Club of Norfolk will do the same from 9 – noon at Norfolk Town Hill and Gazebo.  For more information visit http://gcfm.org/Calendar-News/Calendar/tabid/77/sortBy/cf7/currentpage/2/Default.aspx.
