    The Friends of the Public Garden will celebrate 30 years of the Green & White on Friday, May 1 at the Four Seasons Hotel Boston. The Green & White is the Friends of the Public Garden’s signature spring gala and one of Boston’s most anticipated events of the season. For nearly 30 years, hundreds of civic leaders, philanthropists, and community advocates come together in support of our city’s treasured greenspaces: the Boston Common, Public Garden, and Commonwealth Avenue Mall.     Join the Friends of the Public Garden for cocktails, dinner, and dancing with Night Shift on Friday, April 26 at 6:30 pm at the Green and White Ball at the Four Seasons. Proceeds from the event will support the Friends mission to protect and improve the Boston Common, Public Garden, and Commonwealth Avenue Mall. The 2019 Green & White Ball co-Chairs are Jessica Schmitz, Amanda Pratt, Ashley Harmon and Lisa Taffe.     The Garden Club of the Back Bay invites you to its annual Winter Tea at The Four Seasons Hotel, Boston, 1102 Boylston Street, on Tuesday, January 24 from 3 – 5.  Enjoy delicious scones, chocolates and a variety of teas along with warm and friendly conversations on a chilly day.  Garden Club of the Back Bay member price $55, nonmembers $65.  You may reserve online at https://bostonflora.com/shop/ or mail a check payable to The Garden Club of the Back Bay to Mary Ryan, 6 Arlington Street, #2M, Boston, MA 02116, to arrive no later than January 17.  Names will be held at the door.

    The Garden Club of the Back Bay will host its Annual Tea on Tuesday, January 24 from 3 – 5 pm, this year at the splendid Four Seasons Hotel on Boylston Street.  Our new Tea Committee Chair Mary Ryan has some surprises planned, and we will announce full details next month, but put it in your calendar now.  Guests will be welcome.  Garden Club of the Back Bay members will receive an invitation, but if you are not a member and wish to be on the list, please email info@bostonflora.com.

    This year’s Friends of the Public Garden Members Reception will be at the Four Seasons Boston, on Tuesday, October 18th, from 6:30-8:30pm. Our guest speaker will be John Alschuler, Chairman of HR&A Advisors, the lead consultants for Imagine Boston 2030 and an internationally recognized multidisciplinary firm focused on increasing the vitality of urban life. John is Emeritus Chair of the Friends of the High Line.
