Always the bartender, rarely the guest, Derek Grimm has spent the past 20 years tweaking his career in cocktails. From college bars to country clubs and some of Worcester’s favorite watering holes, Derek has expanded his knowledge of the spirits industry, all the while creating a little something for everyone. While his cocktail menus speak for themselves, he has also given back to the Worcester community through his regional cocktail competition Run the Woo, which celebrates not only local businesses, but other resident bartenders we know and love. When he’s not agonizing over ingredients for his next amaro project, you can find him competing nation-wide in cocktail competitions for brands such as Woodford Reserve, Nikka, and Lairds. Accolades aside, his craft wouldn’t mean anything if he couldn’t pass it on, which is why he is joining us at Tower Hill to teach and taste our way through the art of the cocktail.
