The Hidden Gardens of Beacon Hill Annual Tour celebrates our long tradition of urban gardening and education, beginning at our founding in 1928. Join us for our 96th celebration as we open the gates to ten private gardens and showcase our signature ribbon gardens. Enhance your self-guided experience with complimentary refreshments at King’s Chapel, where you can pause to reflect and refresh between garden visits.. Tickets will not be sold on Tour Day.

Wednesday, May 15, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm – Beacon Hill Garden Club’s 7th Annual Spring Soirée

On the eve of the Beacon Hill Garden Club’s 95th Hidden Gardens of Beacon Hill Annual Tour, 2024, celebrate the Club’s long tradition of urban gardening and hands on maintenance of civic properties. Your ticket purchase makes it possible for the organization to fund a wide range of environmental, conservation, and education programs. The party will take place on Wednesday, May 15th from 5:00pm – 7:30 pm. Held in the King’s Chapel Parish House Garden located at 64 Beacon Street. Enjoy cocktails in a beautiful Beacon Hill garden and sample part of our tour. Tickets are limited. $200 per person, or $250 for Supporter status. The annual tour of the Hidden Gardens of Beacon Hill celebrates a long tradition of urban gardening. From its first garden tour in 1928 when the club was founded, members have opened their gardens on the third Thursday of May. This year, members of the Beacon Hill Garden Club are excited to bring our hidden gardens to you. Seven enchanting gardens will be featured in a film created this May. Our virtual tour will offer a new lens on the Hidden Gardens of Beacon Hill which will be fresh, beautiful and inspiring.

Thursday, May 16, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm – 90th Annual Tour of the Hidden Gardens of Beacon Hill

Join the Beacon Hill Garden Club on Thursday, May 16 from 9 – 5 for a stroll through the charming streets of Beacon Hill. The Beacon Hill Garden Club is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The annual tour of the Hidden Gardens of Beacon Hill honors a long tradition of urban gardening in Boston. The Club will welcome over 2,500 visitors to the neighborhood. Ticket holders  will enjoy not only our hidden gardens, but also our shops, restaurants and museums. From its first garden tour since the club was founded in 1928, club members have opened their gardens every year on the third Thursday in May, even through the Depression and World War II. They hope you will enjoy the day visiting the nooks, crannies and charming spaces that make Beacon Hill special. Tour proceeds benefit local, state and national horticulture and conservation causes.

Wednesday, May 16, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Third Annual Beacon Hill Garden Club Soiree

You are cordially invited to the Beacon Hill Garden Club’s Third Annual Soiree celebrating the Club’s 90th year. The event takes place Wednesday, May 16 from 6 – 8 at the historic garden at King’s Chapel Parish House, 55 Branch Street in Beacon Hill.  Enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvre, raw bar, and jazz combo.  Also, from 5 – 6 ticket holders may preview three historic gardens from the Hidden Gardens Tour taking place the next day. The Beacon Hill Garden Club invites you to celebrate spring at the Second Annual Soirée on Beacon Hill, on Wednesday, May 17 from 5 – 8 in the historic garden of the King’s Chapel Parish House. Wednesday, May 18, 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Beacon Hill Garden Club Soiree Tour Preview Cocktail Party

In just a few weeks, the garden gates will open on Thursday May 19th when the Beacon Hill Garden Club will host its 87th annual tour of the Hidden Gardens. New this year, is the addition of a special evening viewing of three private gardens for working professionals and neighborhood friends. The Garden Soirée will take place the evening before the tour on Wednesday May 18th from 5pm to 8pm. After a stroll through the gardens, guests are invited to a cocktail party in the historic garden of the King’s Chapel Parish House off Branch Street.

The Garden Soirée will provide a chance for neighbors to enjoy a few gardens before the crowds and celebrate spring in the gorgeous garden of King’s Chapel. The night will include a specialty cocktail, raw bar, and delicious hors d’oeuvre thanks to The Catered Affair. Bistro lights, lanterns, and a jazz duo will add to the ambience of the evening.

Like the Annual Tour, the Garden Soirée is a fundraiser. All net proceeds will go toward “greening” Boston through restoring public spaces, environmental education and outreach. Tickets to Garden Soirée on May 18th are $125 and include a ticket for the Hidden Gardens of Beacon Hill Annual Tour on May 19th. Tickets are limited.
