  • July, 2012 – Charity in Bloom

    Winston Flowers announces its July charity, a long time Garden Club of the Back Bay favorite Community Servings. Founded in 1989, Community Servings is a Boston based food and nutrition program dedicated to providing free home-delivered meals to people homebound due to a life-threatening illness such as HIV/AIDS, cancer, kidney disease and M.S. each day. Community Servings gives their 1300 clients, their dependent families, and caregivers appealing, nutritious meals, and sends the message to those in greatest need that someone cares.

    Winston Flowers will donate 20% of the retail price of each Charity In Bloom design to Community Servings. Funds raised will feed critically ill individuals who are too sick to shop and cook for themselves and their families. Every $25 raised can feed one of Community Servings’ clients for an entire week.
