    Please join Honorary Chair Henry Lee and Chair Pamela Lazares, along with the Friends of the Mounted Unit for complimentary libations and hors d’oeuvre in their continuing support of the Boston’s Park Rangers Mounted Unit on Thursday, November 21, from 6 – 8 in the Admirals Bank, John Hancock Tower, 200 Clarendon Street, 22nd floor, Boston. $150 per ticket.

    Pamela Lazares invites you as well to a private reception honoring retiring Commissioner of Boston’s Parks and Recreation Antonia M.     Please join the Friends of the Boston Park Mounted Rangers on Friday, April 26 from 6 – 9 in The Blue Glass Cafe in the John Hancock Tower, 200 Clarendon Street, for the Derby Dash.  Dress is Derby-Chic, so wear your most lavish hat or buy one at the event.  In addition to a couture hat show and sale from Ann McMahon Hats, enjoy a live auction including a luxury trip, limited edition Derby memorabilia, symphony and ballet tickets, and much more.  Cutting edge cuisine, juleps, smashes, and artisan spirits are provided by The Blue Glass Cafe, Marty’s Fine Wines & Spirits, and Woodford Reserve Bourbon.   • Wednesday, February 1, 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm – The Smile Project to Benefit the Greater Boston Food Bank

    A public showing of local area artists with complimentary appetizers & beverages to benefit the Greater Boston Food Bank will take place Wednesday, February 1 from 4:30 – 7 pm.  The Blue Glass Cafe at 200 Clarendon Street in Boston (John Hancock Tower)  has teamed up with Smile Boston Artist Bren Bataclan, Daruma, the Factory Inc. artists Minatsu Ariga (picture below) & Kotaro Morita, Faith Hyde & Marjorie Montemayor to support the Greater Boston Food Bank with The Smile Project. The Cafe is collaborating with the Greater Boston Food Bank to hold a can drive, as well as to provide donations on a weekly Smile Project item.   • Tuesday, June 21, 5:30 pm – Summer Solstice Stroll

    The Friends of Copley Square invite you to the second annual Summer Solstice Stroll, a walking tour and celebration of Copley Square’s landmarks, on Tuesday, June 21, beginning at 5:30 pm.  A reception at The Courtyard Restaurant at the Boston Public Library is hosted by The Catered Affair. This is an exclusive opportunity to hear an illustrated talk by Henry N. Cobb, FAIA, architect of the John Hancock Tower an founding partner of Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, on the design of the Tower with reference to the presence of Trinity Church and the evolution of Copley Square.  You will experience an insider’s view of the stained glass and enjoy an organ demonstration at Trinity Church.  You will visit the Civil War Exhibitions at the Boston Public Library, and hear a musical performance at Old South Church inspired by the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War.  Following this array of events, you will be treated to a delicious light buffet supper hosted by The Fairmont Copley Plaza.
