  • Tuesday, November 17, 9:30 am – 12:00 noon – Harvest and Holiday Inspired Designs

    Join The Needham Garden Club on Tuesday, November 17 in the Community Room of the Needham Free Public Library, 1139 Highland Avenue in Needham. Julie Lapham will demonstrate her award-winning finesse as she composes several arrangements inspired by the bounty of the harvest and the upcoming holidays. She has been involved with flower arranging for 35 years and has exhibited widely throughout New England and beyond, including several international shows. Members and guests will have a chance to take home one of her designs that will use fruits, vegetables, flowers and foliage in elegant and new ways. Coffee, tea, and refreshments will be served at 9:30 a.m. The program, which is free, will begin at 10 am.

  • Sunday, December 11, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm – Botanical Jewelry Class

    Create a unique piece of jewelry or a holiday ornament using pods, seeds, dried leaves and other natural materials, at Tower Hill Botanic Garden on Sunday, December 11, from 1 – 3, with instructor Julie Lapham of Julie Lapham Designs. Leave in its natural state or cover with gold or silver paint for a touch of sparkle. All materials included.   • Sunday, October 23, 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm – Squash Floral Arrangement

    Julie Lapham of Julie Lapham Designs will conduct a Tower Hill Botanic Garden workshop on Sunday, October 23, from 1 – 3:30.  Fill a large squash with the vibrant colors of fall, using fresh and dried plant material.  All materials and mechanics will be provided, but please bring scissors and an apron.  THBG members $60, non-members $65.  Register at www.towerhillbg.org, or call 508-869-6111.

    Register for a Tower Hill Botanic Garden course, Fall Table Wreaths, on Sunday, October 2, from 1 – 3 pm, and, under the guidance of award winning designer Julie Lapham, arrange fall flowers and foliage into a wreath for your table or wall.  Fresh and dried plant material and all mechanics will be provided.  Bring clippers and an apron.  Tower Hill Botanic Garden member price is $60, non-members $65.  Register on line at www.towerhillbg.org.

  • Saturday, June 18, 10:00 am – 12:30 pm – America’s Firsts

    Join WAFA USA in the Plaza Ballroom at the Seaport Hotel on Saturday, June 18, from 10 – 12:30 for a flower arranging demonstration entitled America’s Firsts, featuring Julie Clevett, Jane Godshalk, Julie Lapham, Lee LaPointe, Tasha Tobin (her arrangement pictured below), and Tony Todesco.  This event is a coveted second repeat presentation of one offered the day before which is currently sold out, so act quickly.  Tickets are $50 and may be purchased at www.wafausa.org.

    Learn the elements of floral design in a fresh new way, with award winning designer Julie Lapham of Julie Lapham Designs at Tower Hill Botanic Garden in Boylston, Massachusetts.  All experience levels are welcome, and all materials, including container, plant material, and mechanics, are provided.  On Saturday, February 26, from 9:30 – 12 noon, Julie will conduct a class in Pot et Fleur Design.  Create an arrangement which incorporates potted plants and cut plant material into a pleasing overall design.
