  • Thursday, March 19, 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm – Greenovate: City of Boston’s Climate Action Plan

Greenovate works with Bostonians to carry out the City’s Climate Action Plan in neighborhoods and communities. The time for action is now. Our neighborhoods, families, and businesses are already being impacted by climate change. Greenovate serves as a central resource about climate change in Boston and how individuals can make an impact. We focus on working together and how you can help make Boston a prepared, efficient, mobile, zero waste, and connected city.

Kathleen Hart is the Greenovate Boston Communications Manager in the City of Boston’s Office of Environment, Energy and Open Space. In this position, she works to build a solutions-focused narrative about climate action in Boston to help empower residents to work alongside the City in addressing climate change. She was born and raised in South Boston, MA and graduated from Elon University with a major in Environmental & Sustainability Studies with minors in Political Science and Women & Gender Studies. She’s passionate about the connection between mental health and nature, holistic health education, and spending time outside!

Kathleen will speak at the Boston Public Library’s Central Branch in Copley Square on March 19 from 2 – 3, in the Commonwealth Salon. Free and open to the public.
