  • Saturday, November 20 – Saturday, December 4 – 17th Annual Festival of Trees

The Festival of Trees, to be held this year from November 20 – December 4, was begun to fund the restoration of the Tenney Gatehouse. It is a magical event held annually by the Festival of Trees, Inc., to celebrate the spirit of the holiday season. The Festival is dedicated to the richness and history of the community by developing partnerships with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the City of Methuen, the Methuen Historic District Commission, the Methuen Historical Society, and the people and organizations of Methuen. This year the Festival has awarded a matching grant to the Methuen Memorial Music Hall, Inc. to assist in its preservation efforts to repair water damage on the interior wall of the east transept. The proceeds from the Festival of Trees provide funding to preserve the heritage and the monuments that make Methuen and the other Merrimack Valley communities so unique.  Festival events, raffle information, hours and directions may be found at www.methuenfestivaloftrees.com.
