  • Saturday, March 4 – Sunday, March 5 – Needham’s Art in Bloom

    Needham’s Art in Bloom, presented by Beth Shalom Garden Club, with assistance from Kalmia and Needham garden club members, returns.  This free multi-generational exhibit will feature over 70 pieces of mixed media Needham High School student artwork with floral interpretations by Beth Shalom , Kalmia, and Needham Garden Club members.     Now in it’s 6th year, award winning Needham’s Art in Bloom will return by popular demand to the Needham Public Library on Saturday, March 8nd from 9am – 5pm and on Sunday, March 9rd from 1pm – 4pm. There will be 45+ pieces of art, mixed mediums, by talented Needham High School students and creative colorful floral interpretations accompanying each piece of artwork by members of the Beth Shalom Garden Club. The Needham High School Fine Arts Department and Beth Shalom Garden Club have collaboratively organized this exhibit since its 2009 inception. Free admission.   • Friday, March 2 – Sunday, March 4 – Needham’s Art in Bloom 2012

    See student artwork with floral interpretations in two venues in Needham.  On Friday, March 2, from 2 – 4 pm, exhibits will be on display at Needham High School, in the Lobby of the Senior Center, and at Town Hall.  Saturday, from 9 – 5, go to the Needham Public Library, where forty arrangements will be shown.  Sunday, the hours at the Needham Public Library will be from 1 – 4. Needham’s Art in Bloom was modeled after the annual springtime exhibit Art in Bloom presented by the Museum of Fine Arts, in Boston.  Beth Shalom Garden Club’s goal was to organize a community event that would engage people of all ages, interests, and life experiences. Each piece of mixed media artwork created by talented Needham High School students will have an accompanying floral interpretation produced by members of the award winning Beth Shalom Garden Club.
