  • Friday, June 19 – Sunday, June 21 – The 30th Newport Flower Show: Pearls of Newport

“Pearls of Newport” is the perfect theme for the 30th anniversary Newport Flower Show, taking place June 19–21, 2026, at Rosecliff. This milestone event will feature exquisite floral exhibits inspired by the rare beauty and hidden treasures of the City-by-the-Sea. Just as pearls symbolize elegance and sophistication, the show will spotlight stunning floral designs, botanical arts and horticulture displays that reflect Newport’s rich heritage and refined charm. The theme will also connect naturally to the city’s coastal identity and maritime history.

In a graceful nod to the Gilded Age, when fashionable Newport women often wore pearls as a symbol of refinement and status, the show will blend historic elegance with modern creativity.

“Pearls of Newport” promises a celebration of floral excellence wrapped in coastal beauty and timeless style.

Don’t miss your chance to secure tickets to the Flower Show Opening Night Party on Friday, June 19, at 6 pm – the kickoff to Newport’s summer season! Tickets available now at NewportMansions.org

The 2025 Newport Flower Show, themed “A Floral Fair,” will shine at Rosecliff from June 20-22, 2025, celebrating two enchanting and vibrant themes. Inside the elegant rooms of Rosecliff, guests will be transported back to the Gilded Age, honoring the legacy of Theresa Fair Oelrichs, the mansion’s original owner. Exhibitors in Floral Design and Botanical Arts will draw inspiration from her 1913 fairy tale-themed dinner, creating captivating displays of imagination and elegance. Adding a fun twist, the first floor will also bloom with playful arrangements reminiscent of a cheerful summer county fair.

The festivities continue outdoors on Rosecliff’s rear terrace and lawn overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Here, the Horticulture Division and Garden Displays will bring the themes to life with competitions of delightful plants, vibrant cut flowers and inspiring displays crafted by skilled amateur gardeners and local garden clubs.

  • Friday, June 18 – Sunday, June 20 – The Newport Flower Show: Back in Bloom: A Ballroom Floral Fantasy

Many have asked about The Newport Flower Show, which usually takes place in June. Unfortunately, COVID safety restrictions prohibit The Preservation Society of Newport County from hosting the show with the popular opening cocktail party and dinner, luncheons and lectures, and Oceanside Boutiques Marketplace. But that doesn’t mean they’re giving up on flowers!

From June 18-20, 2021, at Rosecliff, they will present Back in Bloom: A Ballroom Floral Fantasy – an extravagant floral installation inside Newport’s most famous ballroom, creating a unique fantasy of sight, scent and sound.

Beautiful floral arrangements and lush indoor garden vignettes will be created by members of area garden clubs and other enthusiasts. Patricia H. Fernandez returns as Chair of the event and brings with her an experienced group of volunteers to oversee the design and installation of the exhibits. An assortment of best-in-show ribbons will be awarded and displayed during the event. Bartlett Tree Experts continues its generous support as the Presenting Sponsor of the event.
