    Try Something New, like skating on artificial ice, on Saturday October 3rd at the Greenway Conservancy’s second annual fall festival in Dewey Square Parks. Tickle all of your senses at this free all-ages event with a farmers market and cooking demonstrations, local art, a carnival ride, Greenway and Harborwalk tours, treasure hunt, and multi-cultural music.   • Tuesday, September 1, 1:00 pm – Nordic Pole Walking on the Rose Kennedy Greenway

    The Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy brings you a free 12-week instruction in Nordic Pole Walking, designed to achieve a low-impact, full body workout for all levels of fitness, health, and experience. Specially designed poles involve the arms, activate the upper body and achieve a total body workout with significant health and fitness benefits. Nordic Pole Walking is beneficial to opening up hunched postures and loosening tight shoulders developed from tension and poor working conditions. Instruction and equipment are free.
