  • Friday, June 12 – Sunday, June 14 – Ogunquit Museum Art in Bloom & Garden Party

    The Ogunquit Museum of American Art will host its annual Art in Bloom event from Friday, June 12 through Sunday, June 14. During this three-day event, the museum will showcase up to 15 floral sculptures created by area garden clubs, professional florists, and independent floral designers. Responding to works of art on view, each designer will present an arrangement made from organic matter including seed pods, driftwood, and other natural treasures. Art in Bloom is included in the price of museum admission. Held alongside Ogunquit’s BonAire festival, this vibrant weekend highlights local creativity with a floral-inspired makers market on Friday, a cyanotype workshop, and “Behind the Blooms” designer talks on Saturday and Sunday, and a lively floral market on Sunday to finish the event weekend!

    Join us on Friday, June 12 at 5:30 pm at our annual Garden Party for a special toast to the incredible Carol Woodman and John Prendergast, who have designed and maintained OMAA’s beautiful gardens for the last 30 years. Free.

    Save the Date for the Ogunquit Museum of American Art’s annual Art by the Sea Auction and Gala on Thursday, August 22 at a new location, The Cliff House. More information will come soon at www.OgunquitMuseum.org. Tickets will go on sale in May.

  • Friday, June 19 – Sunday, June 21, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm – Ogunquit Museum 5th Annual Art in Bloom

    Join the Ogunquit Museum of American Art, 543 Shore Road in Ogunquit, Maine, on Friday, June 19 through Sunday, June 21, from 10 – 5, for the 5th Annual Art in Bloom, produced and presented by the talented arrangers of the Piscataqua Garden Club, a member of the Garden Club of America.  One of the Garden Club of the Back Bay’s members, Louesa Gillespie, is also a member of Piscataqua, and highly recommends this three day celebration of fine art and interpretive floral arrangements inspired by works of art from the Museum’s exhibitions.  On Saturday, June 20, from 11 – 3, Lars Turin Clayworks of York, Maine will be in the Shop at OMAA.  Turin’s works in clay are created using a number of different techniques and processes, and evoke patterns found in nature.  Sponsored in part by Maine, the magazine, Kennebunk Savings, and Art Collector Maine.
