    Berkshire Botanical Garden is thrilled to present Garden Treasures From Our Friends — A Dazzling Online Auction!

    Running through July 2, our third annual auction presents an irresistible array of garden-themed and one-of-a-kind collectibles, including vintage and antique items such as garden tools, cachepots, plant stands, furniture and statuary … many richly patinated with the beauty of outdoor aging. Past treasures include Victorian floral baskets … Chinese export jardinières and Famille Rose garden stools … vintage croquet sets for the posh garden party … trugs, birdbaths, fountains and torcheres … along with exceptional pieces like a magnificently aged 18th century rendering cauldron. A few select items will end with a live paddle-raise at this year’s Fête on July 2.

    Now Through March 15 – Good Books, Good Friends Book Auction

    Bidding Now Open for The Cultural Landscape Foundation’s (TCLF) Good Books, Good Friends Silent Auction. The collection includes more than 70 monographs and books by landscape architects, architects, photographers, and allied practitioners with inscriptions, autographs, sketches, watercolors, collages and other additions that make them unique collectors’ items. Participants include Marion Brenner, Jeanne Gang, Walter Hood, Laurie Olin, Kate Orff, Michael Van Valkenburgh, Peter Walker, and dozens of others. There are also rare works by Lawrence Halprin, Elizabeth deForest, Thomas Church, A.E. Bye, James Rose, and more. Bid Now through March 15, 2021. Proceeds benefit TCLF’s education and advocacy initiatives.

    The Community Outreach Group for Landscape Design (COG) will hold its annual online auction Thursday, April 3 – Wednesday, April 9.  Visit www.cogdesign.org and get started. Looking for a private garden consultation? A specimen tree? Or maybe a classic teak bench to place in your garden? Then prepare to bid early and often at the 10th annual In the Garden online auction.

    All proceeds are used to build and improve neighborhood gardens and parks throughout greater Boston.  In the Garden offers specialty goods and services for the discerning gardener and attracts great interest and spirited bidding.

    Among the prized offerings this year are a winter-proof Lunaform planter, specialty seeds and tools, organic compost, and massage gift certificates for the achy gardener! Retail values for auction selections range from $30 to $1,000 — something for every budget.

    COGdesign is a non-profit service organization offering quality landscape design for community-based groups, meaningful professional experience for student and practicing landscape designers, and volunteer opportunities for those interested in strengthening communities by creating and improving neighborhood green spaces.

  • American Horticultural Society Online Auction

    For the third year in a row, the American Horticultural Society will reprise its online auction. This year’s auction features exclusive opportunities for four people to have lunch and a garden tour with notable horticulturists and landscape designers throughout the United States.

    Among the tours is Fallingwater in Pennsylvania with Landscape Architect Melissa Marshall, principal designer for the award winning firm MTR Landscape Architects. Ms. Marshall was instrumental in the recent renovation of the last great Frank Lloyd Wright house with its original setting, furnishings, and artwork intact.

    Also available is a tour with Allan Armitage, internationally known for his multifaceted teaching and research in new plants for the garden and greenhouse at the University of Georgia Horticulture Gardens.

  • One on One with Great American Gardeners Online Auction

    In conjunction with the American Horticultural Society’s 17th Annual Gala, taking place this year on Saturday, September 25 from 6 – 10 pm at River Farm in Alexandria, Virginia, the AHS is proud to announce its second annual online auction, “One on One with Great American Gardeners.” This is your chance to bid on an opportunity for you and three friends to spend time as exclusive guests of a prominent American horticulturist, botanic garden director, or landscape designer.  One such local experience will be hosted by Michael Dosmann at the Arnold Arboretum here in Boston.     COGdesign announces the In The Garden Online Auction to benefit community green spaces.  Bids will be accepted through Tuesday, April 13, at www.cogdesign.org. Items include a granite compass rose by sculptor Karin Stanley (pictured below), a weekend getaway on Martha’s Vineyard, organic compost from Coast of Maine, a 7’ tall hand-crafted iron tuteur in Mediterranean blue, and many other wonderful items for bidding! Hand tools, house improvement services, garden-inspired art, personal adornments (beads), wine & food, garden consultations, museum memberships, books, ONE-OF-A-KIND treasures, and, naturally, a Garden Club of the Back Bay holiday wreath.
