The New England Rose Society is kicking off its 75 Anniversary year with a free presentation on Saturday, February 21, beginning at 10 am at the Methuen Senior Center, 77 Lowell Street in Methuen. The topic will be Organic Solutions to Common Garden Problems.

Monique Egan of BioSafe will discuss simple, sustainable and effective techniques to use in the garden to produce beautiful healthy plants while protecting people, pets and the environment. She will include methods to prevent the spread of disease, manage weeds and control undesirable insects.

As always, the presentation will be followed by “Ask the Experts” a Q & A session in which Consulting Rosarians will answer your specific questions about growing beautiful roses.
