    Come to Tower Hill Botanic Garden on Saturday, February 7 from 3 – 4 as Pauline Bergassi of Petal ‘n Fern Impressions shares The Art of Floral Preservation with a slide show presentation of over 50 stunning flower images and a lecture/discussion on the best method of preservation for specific flowers. Sample flowers preserved in various mediums will be provided.

    Keep your favorite flowers to enjoy all year long. Practice this winter, using store-bought specimens and be prepared to save your garden treasures this summer.  Free with admission to Tower Hill.

  • Saturday, November 15, 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm – Pressed Flower Botanical Artwork

    Tower Hill Botanic Garden will welcome instructor Pauline Bergassi on Saturday, November 15, from 2 – 3:30, who will teach you how to create an 8″ x 10″ ready-to-frame pressed botanical artwork.  Pressed flowers, background board, and papers are included in the fee, which is $35 for THBG members, $50 for nonmembers.  Register online at www.towerhillbg.org.

  • Saturday, December 14, 10:00 am – 12:00 noon – Serving Tray with Pressed Floral Design

    Pauline Bergassi of Petal’n Fern Impressions will conduct a workshop on Saturday, December 14, from 10 – noon, at Tower Hill Botanic Garden, 11 French Drive in Boylston. Create a beautiful pressed floral artwork that will be placed, as the background design, in an 8 x 12 wooden serving tray. The tray is pre-finished in your choice of black or white. The coordinating backgrounds and botanicals will be covered with a piece of glass to make this craft a truly useful one for you or a lucky recipient.   • Saturday, March 19, 10:00 am – 12:00 noon – An Introduction to the Victorian Art of Pressing Flowers

    The art of pressing flowers may date back to earlier times, but it is still popular today! Placing flowers in books and flower presses provides the best way to preserve the natural beauty of every plant. Learn about this ancient art and participate in a “hands-on” flower-pressing session at Tower Hill Botanic Garden, 11 French Drive, Boylston, Massachusetts, on Saturday, March 19 from 10 – 12 noon. Prepare for the upcoming garden season! Create a garden journal to record and preserve your garden favorites to enjoy all year long. Journal pages will be provided and a pressed floral journal cover will be created in class. All materials are included.
