    The Greenway Conservancy is pleased to welcome the Boston Natural Areas Network (BNAN) and invites the general public and to stroll the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway for a free tour with an inside view of one of the city’s most unique green spaces this Tuesday, July 13, 6-7:30 pm. The walk begins at the Greenway Conservancy Tent, Boston Public Market at Dewey Square, Boston (near the South Station MBTA). Join Tom Smarr, Superintendent of Horticulture, Rose F. Kennedy Greenway Conservancy on an evening stroll along the Greenway highlighting the multi-dimensional plants that offer color, texture, form and flavor in this urban landscape.   • Tuesday, August 18, 11:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. – Boston Public Market

    The Boston Public Market sponsored by Rodale on Dewey Square returns to the Greenway.  Together, Rodale Inc. (publishers of Organic Gardening Magazine) and the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway Conservancy are supporting the Boston Public Market and its farmers as they bring a robust seasonal market to Dewey Square Plaza.  In addition to fresh produce, farmers will sell eggs, cheeses, meats, breads, baked goods and other wholesome products grown or made in Massachusetts.  As the market season progresses, the Conservancy will provide live entertainment, seating and other amenities.  An authoritative resource for information on sustainable practices and wellness, Rodale will assist shoppers in making healthy choices through an iinteractive kiosk and related website.  The market will be open every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. through October.  For more information, log on to www.hellogreenway.org.

  • Wednesday, August 12, 5 – 7 pm – Family Games on the Rose Kennedy Greenway

    Residents and neighbors of the North End and Chinatown are invited to bring their families and friends every Wednesday night for “Family Games”, a night of free games in the North End Parks and Chinatown Park on the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway. Together with athletic programming provider, Knuckle Bones, the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway Conservancy will host favorite traditional and non-traditional games like bocce, Chinese yoyo, lawn tennis, jump rope, koob and more.
