  • Wednesday, December 5, 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm – Lightwaves Opening

    Come out to the Boston Harbor Islands Pavilion (between State Street and Atlantic Avenue in Boston) on Wednesday, December 5 at 6 pm for the opening of Lightwaves, two temporary art installations curated by Boston CyberArts on the Rose Kennedy Greenway. Experience artworks by Alex Reben and Georgie Freidman, followed by networking and a nightcap at a Greenway neighborhood establishment to be announced.  For more information visit www.rosekennedygreenway.org.

  • December 21, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm – March 20 – Bright Lights for Winter Nights

    The Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy is pleased to announce plans to bring more light and cheer to the Greenway beginning December 21, the winter solstice, and continuing through the spring equinox.

    Bright Lights for Winter Nights will feature creative lighting elements that highlight the Greenway’s four distinctive park designs while unifying over a mile of the Greenway’s natural beauty with a varied display of festive lighting.

    The first display will begin Monday the 21st at 4 pm in the Wharf District Parks when the iconic Light Blades will display a newly choreographed rhythm of color and pattern.  The display will change each week for the next three months, so keep coming back!

  • Saturday, July 3, 10:00 am – Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway Walk

    In celebration of Boston’s rich history and in partnership with the Boston Women’s Heritage Trail, the Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy will offer an all-ages tour on July 3rd that commemorates the life and legacy of Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy. Starting at 10 AM on the Mother’s Walk in the park between Milk and State Streets, the tour weaves through parts of the North End and ends at the Rose F. Kennedy Rose Garden, where adults and children alike are encouraged to stop and smell the roses.

  • Saturday, September 19, 4 – 5 pm – Greenway Treasure Hunt: North End Parks

    Every third Saturday of the month, the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway Conservancy invites families, adventurists, history-buffs, and anyone interested in getting to know the Greenway to join them for free thematic treasure hunts on the Greenway. Each hunt will focus on one of the four Greenway parks, the neighborhood surrounding the park, and its unique characteristics.  On September 19th we explore the North End Parks and neighborhood.  This is an all ages event.   • Wednesday, September 9, 5 – 6 pm – Managing the Garden Organically

    Boston’s newest park, the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway, is blooming thanks to careful organic maintenance by the park’s stewards, the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway Conservancy.
