  • Thursday, June 13, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm – A Bloomsday Celebration

    Bloomsday is a celebration of the life of Irish writer James Joyce. Observed annually in Dublin, the day will be celebrated at Rotch-Jones-Duff House with Rick Finneran, Lead Gardener. Rick will give a 45-minute tour in the RJD’s garden followed by a walking tour to explore nearby gardens, church bells, and the literary history of the neighborhood. The group will visit Our Lady of Assumption, The Friends Meeting House, and The Unitarian Church among others. Join for either, or both tours. This event is free as part of AHA night.   • Friday, June 7, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm – Rotch-Jones-Duff County Fair

    Join the Rotch-Jones-Duff Museum, 396 County Street, New Bedford, in the historic garden on June 7 from 6 – 9 for a carnival-themed event, complete with classic carnival games, a fortune-teller and county-fair inspired food and snacks. Wear your county fair best. Catering by Traveler’s Ale House.

    Your ticket fee includes food and entertainment. A cash bar is available. Proceeds from this event support the Museum’s educational, community outreach, and preservation efforts.
