  • Tuesdays, July 16 and 23, 10:30 am – 4:45 pm – Behind Adobe Walls Santa Fe Home & Garden Tours

    The Santa Fe Garden Club celebrates its 80th year hosting Santa Fe’s prestigious Behind Adobe Walls Home and Garden Tours. The 2019 tours will feature the ‘Best of the Best’ and include past favorites. On July 16th and 23rd guests will experience the unique beauty that is so characteristic of Santa Fe on this hostess-guided bus tour while visiting four seldom seen, private homes and gardens on Santa Fe’s oldest home and garden tour. Selected homes will highlight extraordinary art collections, as well as a variety of architectural styles and high desert gardens. New this year, guests will gather at the Eldorado Hotel where they can enjoy an Epicurean Buffet Lunch prior to boarding buses for the tour.

    Event proceeds benefit the Santa Fe Garden Club’s community education, beautification, and conservation projects including the Santa Fe Botanical Garden Ojos y Manos Learning Laboratory, and the New Mexico Museum of Art, recipient of the newly re-designed Courtyard Garden, a legacy gift to the Santa Fe community.

    Behind Adobe Walls is grateful for support from Santa Fe businesses that have generously donated to underwrite the tours.

    Since 1940 guests have enjoyed Santa Fe’s oldest and most prestigious Home & Garden Tour on the 3rd and 4th Tuesday of July. Guests board SFGC hostess-guided buses at noon and visit four unique, seldom-seen private residences each week. Refreshments are served at each delightful garden on the tour. Regrettably, these tours are not ADA accessible. Walking is required. Tickets are fully tax deductible,  non-refundable and changes to tour dates are not allowed, but you may transfer a ticket to another person. Guests board buses at Eldorado Hotel, 309 W. San Francisco. City parking lots at corner of W. San Francisco and Sandoval Streets.

    Join Pacific Horticulture July 11 – 17 as we tour beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico to explore more than 1,000 years of culture, history, and tradition. Our itinerary includes visits to private gardens, the recently renovated Santa Fe Botanic Garden, and the world’s largest International Folk Art Market featuring more than 180 artists from 60 countries. A private docent-led tour of the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum promises a deep look into the artist’s life and art in the region. A day trip to Chimayo and Taos includes a stop at the Mabel Dodge Luhan House. PHS executive director Carol Moholt will escort this tour. Land cost $2,598 per person, double occupancy for Pacific Horticulture members, $2,698 for nonmembers, single supplement $920.

  • Saturday, June 19, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm – East Meets Southwest

    Twig, the  flower shop at 83 Charles Street, has invited noted Santa Fe impressionist Joseph Breza to exhibit his remarkable work at its Beacon Hill location.  Breza is extremely accomplished, and has exhibited internationally.  He is known for his use of color and bold brushstrokes in brilliant Impressionistic landscapes, garden still lifes and scenes from France, Italy and New Mexico.  Also on display, naturally, will be beautiful flowers and unique gift products.  The reception will begin at 6 pm and admission is free.  You may call 617-292-8944 for more information.  Roses For Emily is pictured below.
