The Fifth Annual Winchester  Vegetable Garden Tour, a free self-guided tour of 11 home and community gardens, will occur Sunday August 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. See how home owners can raise their own produce in large and small plots, containers, raised beds, with all different ways to thwart critters (an electric fence) and irrigate (solar-powered well, rain-capturing system). Children’s Scavenger Hunt included: find garden objects, collect a prize at Soluna Herb, Spice and Tea Emporium. You too can practice seed to table gardening!
